London Fashion Weekend - Best Bits!

30.9.14

I have to apologise as this post is a lot later than expected.
As per usual I haven't been well, unfortunately due to tablets. I will go into it in more detail in the next few days as I will be blogging a personal, rehabilitation post.
In this post I wanted to exhibit a few of my own photographs and best bits from the event, London Fashion Weekend

You may have recently viewed a post on my sister who came with me to the event
It's inevitable to not take a photograph in the beautiful mirrored architecture!

Images of the astounding Somerset House.
Although I was beyond excited and had researched the hell out of it, walking through the historic arches, what was beyond me fulfilled and blew everything I imagined out of the water. It really is perfection.

As an art and textile student I am always looking for new artists, new techniques and up and coming ideas in which to take inspiration from. Walking into Somerset House immediately I was hit by the bright, bold and delicious geometric prints on the precisely hung umbrellas. For me it wasn't just about the eye popping design, the installation as a whole, for instance where they were hung was such an interesting and mesmerising way in which to exhibit work. Luckily I came across the artist, David David and have continued to research his work since being back. I'd really recommend you take a look on his website, for me, a new favourite.

Finally got to view Versace first hand!

Fur, fur & more fur!

After first seeing the cartoon style bag on the Daily Mail website, I was certainly intrigued to say the least. In real life I found it extremely clever how the 2D effect was created through a 3D design.

Even the Café had so much to take in!
