Holy Holograph!

24.8.14

So I've decided to do a piece on my ultimate platforms.

Although this futuristic trend was huge in the '90s, it's back and more refined than ever. The iridescent trend follows the same basic principle, but this time it's less about kitsch and more about adding a little drama to an ensemble (think Stella McCartney wedges and Jonathan Saunders skirts).

But if you're going to wear hologram pieces, there are a few important things to keep in mind: First, you want to keep the rest of your look simple (the shiny material is attention-grabbing enough as it is) and you never want to wear more than one holographic item at a time (no one wants to look like a disco ball).

For me these heels are perfect to updating an 'LBD'. And although they look seriously high, they are unbelievably comfortable. I also bagged myself a a cute kitsch clutch bag from New Look and fabulously both were in the sale!

For me accessories are an easier way at attacking this tricky trend. Coats, trousers, tops, you name it holographic is on everything but for me personally it I don't see it as the most flattering trend, unless you're of a model statue; so you also may take advantage of the accessories way around.
