Black on White, White on Black.

21.7.14

Sorry (again) for the little later than anticipated post. I’ll fill you in on this weekends antics.

Recently I’ve been suffering a lot of pain and discomfort in my left knee and as usual the hospital have taken their time in wanting to look at it, probably thinking I'm a colossal pain in the ass. Anyhow, I finally undertook my MRI scan on Friday; long time coming!
I really had forgotten how horrible MRI’s are – understatement. The first problem I endeavoured was, you have to lie down, back problems don’t tend to like that. The second being you can’t wear any metal which meant my arm brace had to come off, so from the start I had gathered this was going to end in tears.
After I’d managed to lie down in what was a position that I thought was comfortable foreseeably backfired after twenty excruciatingly long minutes trying to listen to Radio One on top of the overpowering noise of the machine. I was then revolved back out and was greeted by the nurse who then realised she had the mammoth task of placing my arm brace back on. As I lifted my arm to slip the brace underneath my arm went from bowing from the right to the left as the bone switched sides. It’s honestly as horrendous as it sounds, I'm usually pretty tough but I burst in tears which moved my arm and of course the bones more. After the nurse had panicked and ran out the room to collect my mom we finally managed to Velcro it back together.
This was more than enough drama to last me the weekend…

But, it was one of my best friends 21st birthdays this weekend and I was determined to make it to town, of course sober. I hadn’t previously been to town yet since the accident so I was excited but also nervous, people can be pretty rowdy in Cannock to say the least.
I’m really pleased I managed to go out and last till 3.30!

So this post is to take you through my outfit. Please ignore the huge black arm brace, I understand how hideous it is and how much it distracts from the outfit but I had to wear something! I always used to love dressing up for town and dresses were my 'go to', but unfortunately and annoyingly none of them fit over my arm so this was my plan b.

The top I’m wearing is a Topshop Black Camisole paired with Topshop’s White High Waisted Joni Jeans. The shoes are Topshop (As you may notice I love Topshop…) Ankle Chelsea Suede Boots and finally my White Clutch Bag is the bloggers favourite, ‘Stressed But Well Dressed’ from Zara.
