So recently I’ve been watching a few
beauty vlogs and I can’t believe how perfect they look! I've pretty much
brought this entire collection from the inspiration and views from bloggers. I have come to realise how influential bloggers are!
Anyhow I thought
I would share my recent Superdrug haul with you. I'm not one to do make-up post but I
recently have had people ask about using make-up on pale skin and personally
being the palest of the pale, I completely understand this problem! I know
people say use fake tan but the amount of fake tan mistakes I see around the
particular area where I live on a night out…there is nothing more off-putting.
But, I do love a good tinted moisturiser which used well can look much better
and much more natural on pale skin.
Back to make-up, I'm just going to take you
through a few of the products I've recently tried out, and I'm
sure you’ll be happy to know they are all within a bargain budget!
Sleek Make-Up_
Face Form & Contouring Palette_
Price: £9.99_
The beautiful Kim Kardashian was one of the
most recent celebs to completely transform her face with contouring make-up (if
not a little plastic surgery) and it has taken the world (especially makeup and
fashion bloggers) by storm! I had seen a lot of prominent shimmering cheekbones
recently in blog posts and after watching beauty bloggers this was down to the make-up
technique of contouring, so I decided to research and this led me to the Sleek brand.
It is the ultimate contour
kit with a sculpting powder, highlighter and blush or bronzer in a mirrored
compact at a great price. Face Form is best used to contour the lower
cheekbones, nose and jaw line and to highlight the upper cheek and brow bones
and for me I use:
Fair and Light – contouring powder, highlighting powder, and
Rose Gold Blush
I have to say I love it! You definitely need to use a specific
contouring make-up brush to get the best results though. Having pale skin I can
struggle with bronzers looking orange but with the pale rose blush and
shimmering powder it wears wonderfully on your skin.

Pro Base Fixing Mist_
Price: £5.00_
Keeping make-up on a long period of time
in the hot weather can be quite difficult; usually in boiling heat (when we
actually get any in England) it can be left to sweat down our faces. I’d looked
into make-up fixers previously but was a little dubious but after reading such
positive reviews on the Superdrug website I decided to purchase it. I have to
say it does really work!
It fixes your make-up all day long, protecting you against
heat & humidity and the best feature for me, it keeps your face moisturised throughout the day. It has also been highly recommended for oily skin so its definitely worth a look!

Lipgloss - Happy Days_
Price: £1.00_
I always always wear a lipstick or
lipgloss so I'm continually looking for different options and for a price like
this it is impossible not to try this product out. I have to say I love, love,
love the colour and there are a range of eight so there is plenty of choice.
This particular lipgloss looks both great by itself or on top of a lipstick to
give off a high gloss finish. It isn't sticky and also has a wonderful scent.
I do
have to admit it doesn't last that long but at the price it is I am more than
happy to reapply!
Rimmel_
Stay Matte Foundation – Porcelain_
Price: £5.99_
I first come across this foundation when it
was combined with the sleek contour set by a particular blogger whom I cannot
remember! So I decided to purchase it to try both products together. I'm always
pretty sceptical buying new foundations due to my colouring but I have to say
this is possibly one of my favourite ever foundations!
Feather-light,
liquid mousse blends flawlessly for natural-looking, all day shine control.
Silky smooth formula leaves a perfectly matte, baby-soft finish. Lightweight
texture won't feel heavy or greasy.
Best of all, it is perfect for pale
skin and it’s a bargain!!
Nivea_
Daily Essentials Sensitive Night Cream_
Price: £2.99_
I've decided coming twenty-one in September, I'm
getting old and I genuinely need to start looking aster my skin. I have quite
sensitive skin and it happily gets along with this moisturiser very well.
It aims to effectively reduce and helps prevent
the three main signs of sensitive skin:
1.
Redness 2.
Tightness 3. Dryness
My
skin is moisturised, feels regenerated and looking healthy!
Make-Up Academy_
Eyeshadow Palette Undress Me To_
Price: £4.00_
Absolutely love this product!
Clearly it
is a dupe of the Naked palette and it does a fabulous job of creating a similar
effect.
It combines a fabulous range of matte, shimmery and metallic eye
shadows all in one palette to create a day to night look.
Made up of twelve warm and timeless
shades, this palette will suit all skin tones and any occasion. The pearlescent flesh-toned finish
of Shades Naked, Devotion and Shy are perfect for highlighting the
eyes, while the shimmering bronze hues
of Shades Fiery, Lavish and Dreamy give a sultry effect. There are
even smouldering contour tones in Shades Tranquil, Exposed and Wink so that you can transform your minimalist day look into a sexy smokey eye in an instant. It
is highly pigmented and is long lasting; fabulous
for the price! For me these nude colours are all I ever need in creating amazing effects.

Lipstick – Shade 15 Juicy_
Price: £1.00_
As I had previously said I am a big
lipstick/lipgloss fan and I have previously used Make-Up Academy lipsticks
before but not this particular type.
I really do like these lipsticks but there
are two things I have to say. They don’t last that long but again at this price,
I am not one to complain. Furthermore, I definitely would advise you to use a
lip balm beforehand for two reasons. For me personally using lip balm it makes the lipstick
last along longer and the only downfall to this product is it can dry your lips
out and having big lips like me that is always a problem with me!
This
particular colour is a favourite of mine, nude colours are always my go-to and
this is perfect for either day or night due to the fact it has a wonderful
shine.

Complexion Matte Primer_
Price: £4.00_
If I'm honest I have never ever used a
primer because I previously haven’t know what the actual aim of using a primer but I decided
to start off cheap and see if I can notice any prominent results.
This product
is extremely efficient used all over your face before applying
foundation or just in the specific area of just the t-zone.
It does exactly what
it says on the tin, it can be used alone or underneath a foundation depending
on the look you’re going for.
My favourite part of this is that it leaves your
skin so smooth and soft before applying foundation so I was really pleased!
Thought I've give you an insight on how the make-up has worked on my skin!
Hope this helps if you yourself struggle with finding make-up to suit pale skin or if you're just looking to try out new products!
