'Great Investment Pieces'

This recent particular trip to Birmingham had the specific aim of hunting, fighting and scavenging through sales and finding three final items for my upcoming and I have to say much needed holiday; a beach bag, kimono and sandals. I came out with one and a half, and I will explain why!

I have to admit I love the aspect and idea of sales but as per usual I was unable to find those fabulous hidden gems that everyone else seems to discover. So after trawling rack after rack in River Island and Topshop I had to come to the conclusion, today was not my day. I was going to have to look past the sales. After deciding this emotional decision I managed to come across two gorgeous white shirts. Which comes to the explanation of ‘half’. Instead of a kimono as a beach cover up I have decided on these two white shirts which work wonderfully as beach cover ups and for me look much more classic. Not only this, shown in my previous post a few of my swimsuits are colourful to say the least so instead of clashing colours with a kimono, white is perfect. I have to say they both look wonderful dressed up to; great investment pieces.

 I also purchased one of Topshop’s black basic cami’s as I absolutely love them for the reason they can be worn with anything and as per usual I lost my previous one, so hopefully I can keep hold of this one! 

I'm currently a huge fan of the 'sports luxe' trend and these shorts are just the epitome of that meaning. As soon as I saw them I had to get them, sale or no sale! They are so comfortable and are going to be perfect for my holiday paired with baggy t-shirts and sandals in the day and dressed up with a crop, clutch and flatforms for the evening.

I know I have a huge range of shoes (especially sandals), but of course I always have a reason for a new pair, and I actually believe this is valid… I haven’t actually got a pair of all white sandals and I have absolutely fallen in love with ridged chunky sandals and I actually would purchase the high-heeled version, but unfortunately I am not able to wear them and won’t be able to for a while, so I've gone for the mid-heeled New Look version and I love them!

 Cannot wait to style them on holiday!

Finally, I was unable to find a beach bag so if you have any views on where to get a great stylish one please comment! Although I may have just purchased a holdall style bag on eBay from Topshop, so I’ll keep you updated on when it arrives to show you all!
