My recent objective
has been to start saving money for
the summer, and as per usual it hasn't gone to plan…
I genuinely think I have a shopping
problem.
The most recent expedition was to my local Newlife and I believe every town should hold a nearby Newlife, it is THE best place to find bargains.
If you don’t know what Newlife is, in
a nut shell it’s a shop which stores all the high street stores left overs.
E.g. if
the store doesn't produce any more of the item, they’re slightly marked or if the item isn’t sellable, such as a broken zip and the best part?
All of the profits go to charity!
In my opinion, this is
guilt-free shopping.
You can go some days
and find absolutely nothing, other
days you can find a range of amazing
pieces from shops such as Topshop
and River Island, but you do have to
rummage for it. It’s like fighting through a continual rack of sale items, and another thing, make sure you completely check the item before buying, I've come back with missing buttons and all-sorts!
This week I've been bidding for a pair of Office slip-on pumps but the bidding went far too high. I never understand why people pay more for an item on eBay than they actually are in the shop, baffling! Anyway, hobbling around Newlife I came across a beautiful
pair of River Island white, moc croc slip on plimsolls, but as my luck would go they were a size too small for me. After seeing the
price was an absolute bargain at £4.99 compared to £20.00
in store I was more than determined
to fit my foot in and after a bit of
wear and tear they will eventually fit me!
I hope!

After stumbling
past the shoes, accessories were next on the list and to be honest I do like to treat myself to the occasional bag but never purses, so my excuse was, I needed this item! I’m a fan of big purses personally (definitely
not for all the money I have!) but just for all the random cards I seem to accumulate
over time and this bright beauty stood out to me
immediately! Again at a shocking price
of £4.99 compared to £20.00, it was a no-brainer!
I thought for summer
this is perfect and would give my Marc Jacobs navy number a well-needed
rest for a while.

I only managed to pick up one last item as I’d been feeling pretty lazy and out of it this
week so I didn't really have the energy to
carry on looking, and at the moment I'm not able to try things on in shops, so I have to be 100% sure the item is
going to fit! I'm a fan of bodys as they are perfect for summer as
they are hugely flexible and compliment any outfit it is paired with. I personally most stores overprice them majorly so I am cautious about buying.
Having
a black one is so versatile and flattering on all body
shapes. Furthermore, for holidays
this is my go-to piece tucked into denim short and jazzed up with beautiful
sandals.
At £2.50 I don’t think
anyone would be able to say no!

If these prices don't persuade you to find your nearest Newlife, I don't know what will!
